Bespoke Commercial Vehicle Bodies since 1920

Osborne Motors Milk Float Vehicles Delivering Milk and Excellence

Many of us grew up with milk floats being a common sight and sound on our local streets. These vehicles on their daily milk rounds have been the backbone of the UK dairy industry for over a century. Osborne Motors has always been at the forefront of providing milk float vehicles as we are the largest UK manufacturer of milk delivery vehicles, renowned for our expertise and high-quality vehicle bodywork.

Founded in 1920, Osborne Motors has a rich history in the art of commercial vehicle bodywork. With over a hundred years of experience, this family-run business has cultivated a reputation for excellence, trust, and innovation. Our knowledge extends across various sectors, including dairy, utilities, and glass carrying, solidifying our position as one of the UK's leading vehicle conversion specialists.

The Osborne Motors Conversion Advantage

Are you looking to enhance your dairy vehicle delivery fleet but contemplating the significant investment in a brand-new milk float model? Osborne Motors presents an ideal, cost-effective, and sustainable solution: dairy vehicle conversion.

Instead of retiring an older commercial vehicle that may no longer serve its original purpose, Osborne Motors can transform it into a highly efficient dairy vehicle ideally suited to your business needs. This will keep costs down and extend the life of a perfectly good commercial vehicle for a few more years.

This service offers a fantastic opportunity for fleet expansion without the prohibitive costs of buying a brand new milk float. By opting for an Osborne vehicle conversion, businesses can take a more sustainable approach, repurposing existing vehicles while benefiting from Osborne’s specialist design and engineering. This approach ensures that every converted vehicle meets the demands of doorstep delivery, combining functionality with the trusted Osborne build quality.

For temperature-sensitive goods, refrigeration can be provided by an engine-driven refrigeration unit with electric overnight standby. Options include a Springside PVC curtain or Quickload alloy shutters for the open deck, providing ultimate flexibility for urban delivery and beyond.

Safeload: The Safeload dairy vehicle is the ultimate choice for products requiring precise temperature control. This model is constructed from all-alloy sections and GRP insulated panels and is fully insulated throughout. It features sliding side doors for convenient access to the milk deck, and standard bodywork includes a solid rear panel. Expanding Your Capacity with Insulated Deck-Mounted Goods Boxes

To complement our diverse range of dairy vehicles, we also offer insulated deck-mounted goods boxes. These boxes feature white-painted steel exterior panels and galvanised, spangled steel interior panels. The doors, hung on stainless steel hinges, come with locking paddle handles, slam locks, and rubber gasket seals, ensuring the integrity of your products.

Steel top hat sections at the base allow for secure mounting to the vehicle deck. Options include a 12-crate goods box, with choices for a door at each end or a double rear door, providing flexible solutions for carrying additional chilled or frozen items.
